On October 1, 2014 the Quincy Center for Innovation (QCI) celebrated its one year anniversary as well as the recent expansion of the current facility. The QCI now encompasses 20,000 sq. ft. of office space at its Wollaston location. The space is made up of a combination of communal co-working space, cubes and private offices, which are combined and configured based on need. These spaces are spread across two floors of an office building on Eastern Nazarene College’s Old Colony Campus.
During the first year in existance the QCI has received incredible support from both the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and South Shore Innovation. Through their support the QCI was able to attract and help grow 44 unique startups on the South Shore. These startups ranged in industry from pharmaceuticals to sensor data collection. Some of the companies have graduated and moved on to impact the Boston and South Shore areas in a variety of ways but continue to contribute to our growing community of alumni.
