Tony Agnitti (Chairman)

President of the Agnitti Insurance Agency, Inc.

“Anthony Agnitti is a 1984 graduate of Norwich University with a major in Business.  In 1986, Tony founded and presently owns and operates Agnitti Insurance Agency, Incorporated, a multimillion dollar agency, offering all lines of Insurance as well as financial services.  His business has been awarded several Boston area Profile awards for Business contributions both economically and philanthropically.  Tony holds the following designations: Certified Insurance Councillor and Licensed Insurance Advisor.

In 1987, Tony co-founded and is currently a principal at Agnitti Property Management (APM), a real estate acquisition, development, and management firm.  The scope of the real estate holding places Tony on many state and regional blue ribbon committees.  APM has recently received state commendations for the Green Initiative Properties

Tony was a founder and Board Director for Horizon Bank and Trust Company, past Chairman and Commissioner of Braintree Electric Department’s Board (B.E.L.D.) which recently completed a $120 million dollar Power Plant on time, on budget and named as one of the World’s Best Power Plants by “Diesel & Gas Turbine Worldwide”, past Chairman of Foundation Board of Quincy Medical Center and Hospital, past Chairman of the Board for South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army, Kiwanis and several other local and national charities.  Tony is honored to presently be on the Board of Fellows at Norwich.  His Norwich background consists of being Class Agent and a recruiter since 1984. He was also past Chairman of the Boston Alumni Club, and a  lifetime member of the Partridge Society.

Married to his college sweetheart, Marietta (Norwich University class of 84), they have two sons, Armando and Anthony and reside in Braintree, MA.”

 

Tim Cahill

President and Executive Director of The Quincy Chamber of Commerce

“Tim is the current President and Executive Director of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and the former Treasurer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Norfolk County Treasurer and Quincy City Councilor. In these elected positions, Tim was responsible for overseeing large fiscal budgets, hiring and managing staff, and working with other elected officials on policy measures to improve the business climate in the Commonwealth and the City of Quincy.

Prior to holding these governmental positions, Tim also owned and operated a small business in the City of Quincy, Handshakes Café, located in Quincy Center. At Handshakes, Tim experienced firsthand the challenges faced by small businesses and learned how to overcome these challenges to become successful. He is also the author of Profiles in the American Dream: The Real-Life Stories of the Struggles of American Entrepreneurs, which details the ups and downs of four of Quincy’s most famous businessmen: Louis Grossman, Howard Johnson, William Rosenberg and Peter O’Connell.”

 

Gianluca Nigro

Senior Coordinator of Quincy 2000 & Consultant for the Quincy Chamber of Commerce

“Gianluca Nigro was born in Rome, Italy, and moved to the United States in 1998 at the age of 2 when his father finished his Diplomatic Mission there. After having graduated from Hingham High School in 2015, Gianluca and his family moved to Quincy, MA. A current student at The George Washington University (Class of 2019) in Washington, DC, Gianluca is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in History and Italian. At GW, Gianluca is the President of the GW Società di Cultura Italiana, the largest collegiate Italian cultural society in Washington, a member of the Dean’s List, and an intern at the GW Program on Extremism.

While at school, Gianluca acts as the Senior Coordinator of the Quincy 2000 Collaborative, running bi-weekly meetings remotely from his DC apartment just a few blocks away from the White House. Additionally, he also works for the Quincy Chamber of Commerce from Washington as a Consultant. In addition to this, Gianluca acts as the Project Manager for Tony Agnitti of the Agnitti Insurance Agency, Inc., and Agnitti Services, Inc., organizing and coordinating his metings for the Norwich University Board of Fellows and the Boy Scouts Spirit Council Fundraising Breakfasts.

Despite his constant commitment to classes, internships, jobs, and friends, Gianluca managed to lose 115 pounds during his freshman year at GW, a feat which was covered by the Washingtonian Magazine in 2017. Gianluca aspires to take on a career in politics, focusing now on government affairs and public policy. His allure for the underground subway at the US Capitol is yet to die down at the age of 20. If he is not reading something for work or school, he is likely reading the paper about politics. In his spare time, Gianluca enjoys walking, running, spending time with friends and family, and cooking.”

 

Peter Tsaffaras

President of Quincy College

“Peter H. Tsaffaras, J.D. has dedicated over 40 years of his life to serving the field of higher education. Since becoming President of Quincy College in January 2011, he has emphasized the teaching and learning relationship throughout the College. A former member of Quincy College’s Board of Governors, Tsaffaras has served the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, where he was deputy commissioner for employee relations and acting general counsel. He was responsible for affirmative action, benefit administration, compensation management, human resources, labor relations at the community and state colleges, and staff support at the Board of Higher Education.

Mr. Tsaffaras’ expertise in human resources and labor relations began in the central office of the State College System in 1972. After service at Boston State College and the Board of Regents of Higher Education, Mr. Tsaffaras went to Bridgewater State College in 1982 where he worked as Director of Human Resources. Transitioning to the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education in 1993 he was promoted from Deputy Director of Human Resources to Vice Chancellor for Employee Relations and Benefit Administration, and most recently, to Deputy Commissioner of Employee Relations. Since 2005, Mr. Tsaffaras has taught at Massasoit Community College and Quincy College where he is the sole instructor of the year-long Certificate Program in Human Resources.

After earning an undergraduate degree in History at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Mr. Tsaffaras completed his graduate work in Education at UMass-Boston. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the New England School of Law, and maintains a general practice of law in Quincy.”

John is on the advisory board of the Salvation Army of Quincy and is the treasurer of the Rotary Club in Quincy. Michael Feenan

“A Quincy native and a business owner in the City of Presidents since 2011, Michael is President, tax and private wealth advisor of Feenan Financial Group, offering wealth management, retirement and tax planning services to families and small business owners.  Michael graduated Cum Laude from UMass with a bachelor’s degree in management/finance, and holds his property, casualty & life insurance brokers licenses, and FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 registrations.

Michael believes in a strong commitment to community has been active in several initiatives over the years.  He was a board member of Quincy For Quincy Families from 2008-2011, helping local families in need overcome short term financial hardships, bridging the gap between poverty and government assistance.  He has volunteered as a guest teacher with Junior Achievement, conducting financial literacy and workforce readiness lessons in local classrooms.  He has also regularly volunteered in the kitchen at Fr. Bill’s and the food bank at Interfaith Social Services.  Michael is a founding board member of the Quincy Young Professionals, a board member of Quincy 2000 and the Quincy Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to his financial services career, Michael obtained his 100 ton Master US Coast Guard license, which he put to use as a captain of commercial salvage vessels during the Summer while attending college, then private yachts up to 157 feet from New England to Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean Sea.  An avid fisherman and skier, he loves spending time with his wife Jessica and daughter Brooke, preferably on the water, at the beach or on the slopes.”
